EVERGREEN
As the autumn leaves fall to the ground and the landscape indicates that winter is quickly approaching, it’s the evergreen trees that stand out in stark contrast to the trees that go dormant for a season. The evergreen trees remain vibrant and colorful, providing shelter and protection for small animals from their harsh surroundings.
Green in every season.
Growing in every season.
There in every season.
For 32 years, Children of Promise has been like an expanding evergreen forest; there in every season.
Children of Promise was there when Grace’s family couldn’t provide sufficient nutrition to help their daughter grow.
Children of Promise was there when Edwin had dreams of becoming a teacher, but his mom couldn’t afford his elementary school uniform.
Children of Promise was there when Petro had malaria and typhoid simultaneously, and lifesaving medical care was out of reach for his family.
Children of Promise was there when droughts and floods led to famine in entire communities.
And Children of Promise was there for Thida when she was growing up in an unchurched home and met Jesus at the local church.
In the lives of sponsored children around the world, Children of Promise has always been…
EVERGREEN, there in every season.
This month, we launched our year-end fundraising campaign, “Evergreen.”
A portion of the Evergreen campaign will be directed to the Children of Promise Emergency Fund, and the timing couldn’t be more appropriate. Just within the last few weeks, communities of sponsorsed children in the Philippines and Honduras have been decimated by flooding resulting from typhoons and hurricanes. These families are approaching the Christmas season with much of their livelihood and possesions swept away.
All donations made to the Evergreen campaign from December 3 – December 8 will be DOUBLED. Make sure to follow our social media accounts so you know of other special matching opportunities that will pop up later in the month.
It’s God’s faithfulness and your generous partnership that has made it possible for Children of Promise to be an evergreen presence in the lives of children for 32 years. THANK YOU. Join us as we take steps this December to ensure an evergreen future for the next generation.

MORE WAYS TO AMPLIFY YOUR IMPACT!
Every dollar you give to Children of Promise is making wholeness possible for kids around the world. You are making space at the table for kids to pursue the dreams God has laid on their hearts.
But did you know you can amplify your impact?
When you donate through the Children of Promise website, you’ll be prompted to see if your donation is eligible for a corporate matching gift.
Matching gifts occur when companies agree to match donations their employees make to eligible causes. Over 24,000 companies will match donations of their current employees, retirees, and even employee spouses!
However, millions of eligible donors have no idea whether their companies offer such a program! As a result, more than $4 to $7 billion in available matching gift funding goes unclaimed each year!
Great news! It’s easy to find out if your year-end gift is eligible for a corporate matching gift.
Go to www.childrenofpromise.global/giftmatching or search for your company’s name when prompted on the giving page. If your gift is eligible, you can request a match from your employer by filling out a form.
If you find that your gift is not eligible for a corporate matching gift, let us know by clicking the “ineligible” button in the followup email. This will remove you from the corporate match email reminders.
Thank you for helping us take advantage of all opportunities to ensure an evergreen future for the Children of Promise family around the world!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Your Thanksgiving leftovers have likely dwindled, but our hope is that your hearts have remained full of gratitude. Our family gathered with extended family to enjoy a meal together and express our gratitude for one another and for life itself. It wasn’t a church service, but it was no less an act of worship because everything good comes from God.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17
This verse is part of the opening of the book of James and is surrounded by thoughts of encouragement and admonitions to persevere through difficulty.
As we consider the many things for which we are thankful, you are at the top of our list. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by difficulties, but when we think about this good work that we are privileged to do with each of you, we feel grateful, encouraged, strengthened, emboldened, and inspired.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
