FIRE IN BANGLADESH
We recently received news from Shikha Boorman, our director in Bangladesh, that a fire broke out in the middle of the night and burned down seven houses, six of which were houses of sponsored children.
Would you prayerfully consider donating to the CofP Emergency fund so that we can address the needs that have arisen as a result of this fire?
$8,500 will enable these families to rebuild and recover damaged items. Anything above and beyond what’s needed to help these families will enable us to respond quickly when other sponsored children face extreme situations.
Go to www.childrenofpromise.global/emergencyfund to donate online or by send a check made payable to Children of Promise to PO Box 2316 Anderson, IN 46018.
URGENT NEED IN ZIMBABWE
Recently we were informed by our local director in Zimbabwe that some of the families have been displaced by a large dam project taking place in the area. Although the families were helped somewhat to relocate, they are now living in a situation without adequate bathroom facilities and sanitation. Local authorities are pressuring them to build latrines, but the families lack the resources to be able to meet that request. The area in which the sponsored children live is remote, rural, and quite poor.
We would like to raise $4200 to build 12 facilities for these families so they can have a much more sanitary option thereby avoiding the high risk of cholera, parasites, and other diseases. If you would like to give to this project, you may give online at https://www.childrenofpromise.global/emergencyfund or send a check payable to Children of Promise to P.O. Box 2316 Anderson, IN 46018-2316. Please make a note indicating that the donation should be applied to Zimbabwe. Thank you so much for anything you can do to help us get this project going!
