CofP Botswana and Egypt
August was a month of travel with CofP teams going to Botswana and Egypt. Both programs are functioning really well and meeting the needs of sponsored children in culturally appropriate ways.
Children of Promise trips serve many purposes, but one of the most important things is the opportunity to build relationships, encourage sponsored children, and the adults who are pouring into their lives.
The nine visitors from across the USA who joined these trips jumped in with both feet and experienced rich culture, special time with sponsored children, and a new appreciation for our Children of Promise leaders and volunteers around the world.
This could be YOU! We have so many upcoming opportunities for you to experience rich culture, spend time with sponsored children and meet our amazing leaders and volunteers.
We handle EVERYTHING. Flights. Itinerary. Lodging. Food. Transportation. Cross-Cultural Training. Travel Insurance. All you have to do is come with an open heart that is willing to serve, love, and experience the Body of Christ.
We have space on our trips to
» Uganda (November 7-17, 2023)
» Kenya (November 8-18, 2023)
» Pakistan (January 6-14, 2024)
» Cote d’Ivoire (February 22 – March 3, 2024)

Devastation in Bangladesh
We recently recieved news from Shikha Boorman, our director in Bangladesh, that a fire broke out in the middle of the night and burned down seven houses, six of which were houses of sponsored children.
Would you prayerfully consider donating to the CofP Emergency fund so that we can address the needs that have arisen as a result of this fire?
$8,500 will enable these families to rebuild and recover damaged items. Anything above and beyond what’s needed to help these families will enable us to respond quickly when other sponsored children face extreme situations.
Go to www.childrenofpromise.global/emergencyfund to donate online or by send a check made payable to Children of Promise to PO Box 2316 Anderson, IN 46018.
LACE UP YOUR SHOES!
The 300,000 step challenge is coming back this November! Make plans now to join us in walking, hiking, or running 10,000 steps per day during the month of November to raise money for Children of Promise.
This November, the 300,000 step challenge will help us seed fund new programs. These seed funds enable us to do things like: send Rev. Lemus to Honduras to learn from another program director, buy a laptop for Rev. Razia in Pakistan so she has adequate equipment to communicate with our office and keep financial records, and buy a solar panel and battery to ensure that Rev. Guni in Zimbabwe has power even when the electricity is cut. Isn’t it great when making healthy choices can also make wholeness possible for others?!
